The Image Recognition Unit (IRU) Review Co-ordinator role has been introduced to assist in identifying unknown persons captured on CCTV footage and is pivotal in the ‘Caught on Camera’ initiative, increasing the positive outcomes of criminal investigations.
You will be responsible for the receipt and circulation of images from officers and staff.
This includes a selection of the best facial image and editing to ensure identifications are not influenced by associates or vehicles etc.
You will also maintain and weed the image database, comparing images with known offenders, and placing images on Caught on Camera.
